These terms govern your use of this website. The most important one is the first: nothing here is a diagnosis.
This website is not medical advice
The clinical information on this site describes procedures in general terms. It is education, not diagnosis, and it cannot tell you what is happening in your own mouth. Periodontal disease in particular is silent — you may have it and experience none of the symptoms listed on this site, and you may have some of those symptoms and not have it.
Reading this site does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Whether any treatment described here is right for you can only be determined by clinical examination and, where indicated, radiographs and three-dimensional imaging.
Do not delay seeking care because of something you read here, and do not use this site to decide against a treatment your dentist has recommended. Call 801.221.7799 and ask us instead. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911.
Case photographs and results
The before-and-after photographs on this site are of actual patients of this practice, treated in our Orem office, and are published with their permission. They are not retouched to alter clinical results.
They are examples, not promises. Every mouth is different: bone volume, gum tissue, healing capacity, home care and habits such as smoking all affect outcomes. Your result will not be identical to anyone else's, and success rates quoted on this site are general figures from the dental literature rather than a guarantee about your case.
Testimonials
Testimonials are the words of individual patients, published with permission, with surnames shortened. They describe those patients' own experiences and are not a prediction of yours.
Appointments and communication
Appointments are made by telephone. Submitting our new patient forms does not create an appointment — we will call you to schedule.
Email is not a secure channel and is not monitored outside office hours. Do not use it for urgent problems or to send detailed health information.
Fees quoted on this site
This site does not quote treatment fees. The fee for your particular treatment is discussed fully before treatment begins. Insurance estimates are estimates: every policy is different and we have no way of knowing the exact amount a policy will pay. See fees and insurance.
Third-party links and services
We link to services we do not operate, including our forms and payment provider and our YouTube channel. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Your use of them is governed by their terms. See our privacy policy.
Content ownership
The text, clinical photographs, logo and design of this site belong to Utah Valley Periodontics and Dental Implants. You are welcome to link to any page. Do not republish our case photographs or clinical text elsewhere without written permission.
Accuracy and availability
We keep this site accurate and current to the best of our ability, but we do not warrant that it is free of errors, and we may change or remove content at any time. If you spot something wrong — clinically or otherwise — please tell us. See also our accessibility statement.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah.
