A specialty practice, not a general one
Utah Valley Periodontics and Dental Implants does two things: it treats the tissue and bone that hold your teeth in place, and it replaces teeth that have already been lost. Both of our providers completed formal periodontal residencies beyond dental school, and every procedure we offer is performed here in our Orem office rather than referred elsewhere.
Most of our patients arrive on a referral from their general dentist, often nervous. Our job is to explain what is happening in your mouth clearly enough that you can make a decision about it — education is the key to success is not a slogan here, it is the second of our three stated commitments.

Technology, training and experience matter when it comes to your treatment. Here is what that means in practice.
Kodak 3D CT imaging
We are able to fully see and diagnose your oral condition before we treat you. Three-dimensional imaging shows bone volume, nerve position and sinus anatomy — so most implant planning happens on the computer rather than in the chair, which means fewer appointments for you.
LANAP laser treatment
Dr. Bankhead is a LANAP-certified clinician, and laser treatment for periodontal disease is performed here. Watch the procedure explained before you decide anything.
Sedation, licensed and accredited
The practice holds a sedation license and accreditation, and conscious sedation is used during surgery for patients who want it. Comfort options.
Surgery in our own office
Periodontal surgery and implant placement happen here, by a periodontist. Your diagnosis, your surgery and your follow-up stay with the same team, in the same building.
