Comfort

Sedation & comfort

Most patients who come to us were referred by their dentist and are nervous about surgery. That is normal, and it is not a reason to put treatment off — it is a reason to tell us.

This practice holds a sedation license and accreditation, and conscious sedation is used during surgery for patients who want it. Ask about it at your consultation, before anything is scheduled.

If you are anxious enough that you have been avoiding a referral for months or years, say that when you call. It changes how we plan your appointment, not whether we will see you.

In patients' words

Written by people who were nervous first

Your kind and caring demeanor through the surgery, as well as the conscious sedation, made me very comfortable during a process I was somewhat fearful of prior to coming in.
Donna H., Pleasant Grove — graft testimonials
They made it so comfortable for me on the day of the treatment. Everything went smoothly and the recovery process was nothing. It was the easiest doctor experience I've ever had.
Mallory H. — graft testimonials
I was very nervous about the process, but was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. I thought I'd have a lot of pain, but it wasn't that way at all.
Valerie F., Orem — implant testimonials
It was not easy for me to come to trust anyone with this procedure because of my history, but you and your staff made it possible for me to overcome my fears and take care of my teeth.
M. W., Provo — implant testimonials

Beyond sedation

Most of the fear is about not knowing

Sedation handles the appointment. Knowing what is going to happen handles the weeks before it — which for most patients is the harder part.

So: the sequence is written out step by step, the aftercare instructions are published before you need them, and the fee for your particular treatment is discussed fully before treatment.

Tell us you're nervous when you call.

It is the most useful thing you can say to us, and nobody here will think less of you for it.
